The Food is Medicine Global Alliance (FIM-GA) is a global, collaborative initiative that brings together leaders in research, healthcare, policy, implementation, funding, and advocacy to advance the integration of nutrition into healthcare systems.
The Alliance works to strengthen evidence, promote visibility, accelerate implementation, and mobilize sustainable funding at the international level for FIM. We strive to promote healthy eating as a fundamental component of healthcare, addressing systemic health challenges through collaboration and innovation.

What is
"Food is Medicine"?
Food is Medicine (FIM) refers to interventions that integrate nutritious food and diets into healthcare to prevent, manage, and treat diet-related diseases among individuals with, or at elevated risk for these conditions. These approaches go beyond general nutrition advice by directly incorporating food into healthcare services.
