Amy Deptford is Head of Advocacy, Impact and Communications at Alexandra Rose Charity, where she leads the Charity's work to influence national and local policy on the intersection of poverty, diet, and health. The charity is at the forefront of the innovative Fruit & Veg on Prescription programme, delivering two flagship pilots in Lambeth and Tower Hamlets since 2022. These projects have so far supported over 300 people and attracted national and regional media attention, helping to build the case for embedding food-based nutritional interventions into public health and social prescribing models.
An experienced public health nutritionist and published researcher, Amy has worked across the charity and international development sectors, with roles at Save the Children, and the UN World Food Programme. Her career spans leading evidence-based advocacy, building multi-sectoral partnerships, and influencing policy change in the UK and globally. She is passionate about using evidence and lived experience to drive systemic solutions that improve diets and reduce health inequalities.
